Random things plus geniud os the Big One Man Band

Last night I caught the genius that is Big One Man Band. With a snare drum pedal (?) and a bass drum on the right foot pedal, a guitar in hand, and a helmet with a drumstick shooting out of the top, Big One Man Band mesmerized the crowd at Doublewide with his unique thing he calls music. The helmet drumstick was used to play an elevated cow bell. Wonderful. Do you really need to know the playlist.
And all vaguely making reference to something I thought about. Hypgnosis. Hiplessness.

I am reading Moneyball, a revelation in baseball. Fascinating. The conventional wisdom is frequently bullshit, as we all suspect but can seldom prove. I must learn more about this man, Bill James, who altered the destiny of the support with his manic obsessive nature, a slide rule, and a mimeograph to publish his baseball abstracts. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, you can have a glance at this Slate interview http://slate.msn.com/id/2084193

Very few night watchmen at pork and bean factories alter the world. Moneyball is a compelling story, but I have mixed feelings, of course. More later.
